City of Miami honored JacQuetta Clayton and Michele Cancro as Park Champions for Tree Planting. The M.O.M. Squad was well represented and a certificate of appreciation was handed to Ms. Clayton. It was nice to see the "green effort" and kids planting trees.
The Charlee Program Children also planted trees at Oak Grove Park with MOM Squad. This was part of the M.O.M. Squad "green effort" as we left a legacy in Miami.
Karen Johnson, a host MOM, was gracious enough to extend her home for a dinner (Crawfish, Crab, and Shrimp Broil). MOMs and friends gathered enjoying a god time and sharing stories. Coincidentally the same evening Karen's son, Andre of the Texans, was honored with the NFL Alumni Wide Receiver of the Year Award.
NFL Players Gospel Concert, James Knight Center was one of the events at the Hyatt. A few of the MOMs attended the event and enjoyed themselves. This is an event many MOMs have requested be on the program every Super Bowl.

NFL YET Children and The Charlee Program Children attended Snoop Bowl VIII at Trez Powell Stadium with Mom Squad. A good time was had by all with good games, food and entertainment.
Professional Sports Wives Association and M.O.M. Squad hosted an evening dinner Gala and Fashion Show. The event was well attended proceeds from sports memorabilia auction benefiting the Charlee Homes.
The MOMS were fabulous as they strutted the runway with collaboration from clothing designers, again keeping with the organic and green theme.

Super Bowl Brunch at Grace Rolle's home was a great way to start Super Bowl Sunday. She welcomed us with a nice meal and a great time was had by all.
Super Bowl Watch Party was at the Proofs Restaurant, 1458 Ocean Drive, Z Ocean Hotel, South Beach, Miami, owned and hosted by Rudi Johnson and Ricky Williams of Miami Dolphins. The MOMs had a dedicated section where we ate and enjoyed the game in a packed house. A lot of happy faces after the Saints took the game.
After the game we drove down Collins Avenue taking in the party in the streets before we closed our Super Charity Week.
All in all everyone saw the fruits of their hard work and planning throughout the year be realized. The Charlee Homes and NFL YET program were appreciative of our efforts. MOMs enjoyed their time together.
Dallas Super Bowl Charity Week V plans kick off soon and your ideas are welcome to make it another successful event.
